This new partnership with area nonprofit organizations was introduced in March and will continue through next season. The American Cancer Society is a perfect fit for May. Their annual Sole Burner 5k Walk/Run takes place on Saturday, May 7, at City Park in Appleton.

"I am very excited that the Fox Valley Symphony reached out to the American Cancer Society for partnership with our 29th Annual Sole Burner Walk/Run 5K event,” said ACS Community Relations Coordinator Rebecca Davis. “The American Cancer Society is making progress so that one day the world will have less cancer and be able to celebrate more birthdays! Because of the support from the Fox Valley Symphony, they are helping us do so by raising awareness and funds in our local communities in the fight against cancer!"

To help support the cause, ticket buyers should mention the code “Sole Burner” when purchasing their tickets to the May 7 FVSO concert.
