Our musicians are leaving the concert hall and coming to Tardigrade’s!

Join us for a relaxed, interactive series designed to uncover the secrets of the orchestra and connect the classical world to music you already know and love.

No registration required.

Each one-hour session explores a different side of the symphony, from movie scores and rock & roll to the inner workings of the orchestra itself. No classical music knowledge required—just come curious!

At each session:
• Explore music with members of the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra
• Get hands-on and try real orchestral instruments
• Enter to win Fox Valley Symphony tickets
• Purchase discounted symphony tickets
• Enjoy an optional beer & local cheese tasting*
* Beer & Cheese Tasting

The first 10 attendees will receive a voucher for a tasting. Tastings are $6 and include a half-serving of beer paired with a selection of local cheeses. Non-alcoholic options will also be available.

2026 Sessions:
Sept. 26 at 12 PM — Symphony & Films
Oct. 17 at 12 PM — Symphony & Rock
Nov. 21 at 12 PM — Anatomy of the Orchestra

Three more Symphonic Tastings are coming in 2027!

Come have a drink, pick up an instrument, hear some great music, and discover how much of the symphony you already know.

Presented in partnership with Tardigrade’s Bookshelf, Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra, and Heid Music.
