on this year's PIE program.
The Fox Valley Symphony is dedicated to bringing live symphonic music to our area youth. We bring the classroom portion of the PIE program free of charge to participating schools in the Fox Valley and beyond. The FVSO works to provide classroom teachers the tools needed to connect their academic subjects with the themes and ideas of our program.
We reach more than 1,200 third-grade students each year by visiting classrooms and presenting the PIE concepts in a fun and informative manner. The students then attend a concert in the spring at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. Our goal is to make music a part of the students' everyday lives.

History Of Partners In Education (PIE)
The FVS Partners in Education (PIE) program began in 1991 thanks to a generous contribution by former Symphony League member Bettyjo Heckrodt. It has continued through grants and contributions from individuals and corporate "Adopt-a-Classroom" sponsorships throughout the Fox Valley. "Adopt-a-Classroom" is a partnership in which local businesses "adopt" specific schools in their area who participate in PIE. The FVSO is extremely grateful to the Adopt-a-Classroom season sponsors. They are what make the classroom component of this program completely free of charge to participating schools.
