Presented in partnership with The Building for Kids Children's Museum
Working with educators at The Building for Kids Children's Museum, our brass quintet presents elementary school-age students the opportunity to explore the science behind the music. Students discover the basics of sound production, frequency and pitch, acoustics, and the physical properties that make our instruments work.
In addition to hands-on science activities, the students engage with members of the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra through an interactive performance which brings their learning to life.
This exciting field trip collaboration is available only on select dates in the 2016-17 school year and space is limited.
