Shaun Davey: "Special Olympics Suite" and "The Pilgrim"

We celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a community-wide Irish concert featuring the music of Shaun Davey. Davey is recognized as one of Ireland’s leading composers of music that combines popular appeal with genuine cultural significance.

Born in Belfast and living in Dublin, Davey explores in his concert works turning points in Irish History, celebrating that which unites rather than divides the Celtic people. His works have been performed by a major orchestras world-wide.

The Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra brings this grand piece to life in collaboration with an array of large choruses, Irish harp, fiddle, Uilleann pipe, bagpipe, accordion, percussion soloists and organ. We are happy to be working with White Heron Chorale again this season!
